01
Who handles your information
Rating Hut Test Company, located at 1670 Broadway, Denver, CO 80202, United States, operates Rating Hut. Contact privacy@ratinghut.com for privacy requests. This policy covers the review website, accounts, submissions, support, and newsletters; it does not cover listed businesses’ independent websites.
02
Information you provide
Registration involves your name, email address, and authentication information. You may add an avatar. A review may contain a rating, title, text, experience date, and images.
Business submissions can include company details, website, location, services, branding, and the submitter’s information. Reports, support messages, and newsletter subscriptions include what you choose to provide.
03
Technical information
Delivering the website involves requests, IP addresses, browser details, and security or error logs. Authentication cookies maintain signed-in sessions. See Cookie preferences for an explanation of browser storage.
Loading a hosted image or opening an external website also sends technical connection information to that provider.
04
What other people can see
Published reviewer names, ratings, text, dates, and images are public. Published company details are also public. Never include passwords, payment details, identity documents, home addresses, medical information, or other people’s private contact details in a review.
Some company and review information may originate from external sources. A listing does not establish that a reviewer has a Rating Hut account. Contact us with the page link if information about you is inaccurate or should not appear here.
05
Why information is used
We use information to provide accounts and reviews, process submissions, maintain saved companies, handle reports and support, protect the service, and send requested or necessary communications.
Where a legal basis is required, the basis depends on the purpose: providing the requested service, legal obligations, legitimate interests such as security and moderation, or consent where required. Optional communications can be stopped without closing an account.
06
Providers and disclosures
The application uses Supabase for account and data services, Cloudinary for image hosting, and Resend for email where configured. Infrastructure and hosting providers process information needed to deliver the website.
Information may be disclosed to comply with lawful requests, protect rights, or investigate abuse. A business can read what you publish on its profile; do not include private account information in your review.
07
Retention and security
Retention depends on the purpose, account or content status, dispute handling, and applicable legal requirements. Public removal does not immediately erase backups or copies held by search engines.
Access controls and technical safeguards help protect information, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. Use a unique password and report suspected misuse.
08
International processing
The operator is based in the United States. Providers may process information in other countries. Where law requires safeguards for international transfers, appropriate safeguards must be in place. Contact us for details relevant to your information.
09
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live and which laws apply, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to processing, or receive a portable copy of personal information. Some US state laws also provide rights relating to targeted advertising, sale or sharing, and appeals. These rights are subject to applicable conditions and exceptions.
Send requests to privacy@ratinghut.com. Use the account email for account requests. We may need proportionate information to verify your request. Do not send identity documents unless specifically requested through an appropriate channel.
If you disagree with our response, ask us to review it. You may also have the right to contact your state attorney general or other relevant privacy regulator. Exercising an applicable privacy right should not result in unlawful discrimination.
10
Emails and account choices
Newsletter emails include an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing does not stop necessary security or account messages. Contact us for account closure or other requests that are not available in your dashboard.
11
Children and policy changes
The account service is intended for adults. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate.
We revise this policy when the service or relevant practices change. The date above identifies the latest revision.
