From the discription in the catalog, l did not realize that the wine bag needed to be removed from the box to use the wooden boxwine dispenser. Therefore, l tried fitting the box into the wooden structure, which just didn't work. l wrote a scathing review to which Allison graciously replied explaining the logistics. The bag must be removed from the cardboard box to be inserted into the dispenser. lt is more difficult to drain the last 1/4th, but it works. Allison offered to let me return it if l wished. The wooden structure is well made and attractive so l resend my one star review and am keeping it. Vesta Harmanphiel
I paid extra for guaranteed Saturday delivery so a gift would arrive in time for my sister's birthday. It didn't show up. When I contacted support, I was told the order had shipped and would arrive by Monday, along with a $44.39 refund for the trouble. Monday came and went, still nothing. This whole thing put me in a real lurch. I followed up the next day and a second rep admitted the item, a birth month flower scarf, was actually out of stock and backordered until September. This was never communicated to me. It showed as in stock when I placed the order. I had already told my sister the gift would arrive that day, so I ended up feeling genuinely embarrassed and let down. To make it worse, the refund I'd been promised didn't match what was actually issued ($34.39 instead of $44.39). It took another round of back and forth to get the difference corrected, and I ended up with a $10 promo code converted into a refund rather than what I was originally told I'd receive. Honestly, for everything that went wrong, the total refund felt piddling. Given a missed birthday and three separate mistakes on their end, I expected something closer to 50% off, not a token gesture. I was told the remaining items would ship the next morning and arrive by Wednesday. As of now there's still no sign of a shipment moving in time to make that date either. The support reps were polite, but the information was wrong at every step: wrong stock status, wrong delivery date, wrong refund amount, and now a second delivery promise that looks like it won't hold either. I missed my sister's birthday because of it. If you're ordering something time sensitive, paying for expedited shipping here doesn't guarantee anything.
Spams my email without previous business relationship
Began spamming my email and I've had no interaction and have not done any business with them. Edit: After communicating with their support team, they do appear to be a reputable vendor that takes their customer requests seriously. They've assisted me in removing my information and I've increased my review here to three stars. It seems they had a bulk addition to their email solicitation database recently with no understanding of how those addresses were added. Mine was included when I don't believe I had any previously business relationship with them. If this vendor can get back to me with a better understanding of how this occurred then I will happily increase my rating.
I have been waiting since June 18th for a book that was over $150 Canadian. I bought it based on the delivery timeframe provided. Only AFTER they took my money, did I receive an email saying they are having 'troubles' with the delivery dates provided by their system for international orders. The new timeframe given was Monday July 6 - July 9th however my tracking shows that my item hasn't even been dispatched yet!! This is a complete scam. I have lost the cost of the sports book that I purchased and don't even believe that I will actually receive it. I would NOT recommend ordering from here.
Any purchase auto enrolls you in annual membership
I purchased a vase from them. It was poor quality, wouldn't be an issue; except they added a 'free trial' of their perks membership. The free trial lasted two weeks, then they charged most of the annual fee to continue. The annual renewal continues (currently at $25 US) until you call and cancel something that you never agreed to start.
I needed a gift for a grad. I went on the site and at checkout (after I had entered my address so it knew I was in Hawaii) it gave me a delivery date of two days before the event, so I purchased the item. I got an order confirmation with the same date, all good. I got the shipping notification and when I clicked through the package had been passed off to USPS and the delivery date is now maybe a week later. This is after the event, after we have actually left the country, so completely useless. I get that shipping to Hawaii is complicated but if you are going to charge more than $20 for shipping AND post an exact date for delivery, you should meet expectations. I wouldn't have purchased if they had been honest about shipping dates, it's just disingenuous.
I was gifted a national park history 6 month subscription. The folio is cheaply made. The "historical" brochures are a joke. They look like something you would pick up (for Free) in a tourist information shop. $82.00 was the cost and their expense probably is minimal to produce a trifold brochure and a couple of sheets of ivory colored paper with facts easily found anywhere. Don't waste your money.
I have ordered 2 things in January 2026- its now March 24th 2026 - I have not received either of my orders & I just get a runaround when I ask for a refund. The products look good, but their interface sucks, you can not add a second shipping address to your account unless you make a purchase, in short you have very little control over your account unless you are in the purchase screen. I followed instructions to cancel my perks account but the described button is not there. Their support is just people apologising for not being able to help.
Working with representatives was well worth phone calls!
Working with representatives was a little long and confusing process but for what I wanted to have created their patience and my persistence ended in success. I truly recommend Uncommon Goods not only for their REAL customer relations but for their commitment to quality products. THANK YOU!
Disgustedfor Black History I was to see that they had…
Disgusted I was to see that they had nothing for black history month after I have spent lots of money here disappointed I come back to celebrate black history month purchase gift for my father and nothing I will not shop here again. The body care products uncommonly but really cheap I bought a magnesium salt completely old smelling but I still tried to be positive but now this so I won’t return
Poor-quality products. and complete disregard for customer privacy. Despite repeated requests, this company ignores GDPR obligations and fails to respect basic data protection rights. Absolutely not recommended.
I purchased one item from Uncommongoods and regretted it. The product was so-so, but the endless marketing and promotional emails are ridiculous. Have unsubscribed multiple times, have contacted customer service, and been told that I must have signed up with multiple email accounts. Not true. The company said I have been removed their marketing and promotional lists. But still they assault my inbox. Spam spam spam spam. Avoid.
Poor customer service. I had 2 issues with a large order and NEITHER where resolved. One item was missing pieces and I can not get a refund or replacement without returning the item that was sent as a Christmas gift. So, that $85 is gone. Secondly, they promise a price change refund and when I contacted them they shorted me $41 on the refund. They have neat stuff, but good luck resolving issues. 1-21-26 In response to the latest- I appreciate the help. I've spoken to someone already about a replacement. Since these are out of stock I will be waiting, with hopeful reservation, to see if I get it in a few months. While I am glad this is at least partially resolved, the fact remains that your company's approach to customer service is not on par with the quality and prices of the items you sell. Since my email reaches a different set of eyes each time I respond, there is an inherent lack of accountability for each individual to see a problem through to a resolution. While I do love your products and, again, I appreciate your help, the fact remains that I feel a resolution to my issues should have been much less frustrating.
I ordered 2 bottles of the bubbles for dogs and the 4 bottle set of candy bubbles. I tried the dig bubbles on 6 dogs and none of them played with or tried to bite them. Daughter inlaw threw them away. None of my granchildren liked the candy bubbles. They were thrown out as well. Very expensive "fun" items that weren't used. I wasted money. Won't be ordering ANYTHING from your company again.
I ordered Dec 9th with a promise of delivery by Dec 21 at the latest. Its Dec 24 and nothing. Cant reach anyone and the UniUni delivery service is worthless. NEVER again. Dec 30 Response to uncommon goods. My husband ordered, Bob Prochaska. We sent an email on Dec 24 and uncommon sent us one bsck Dec 26. He called the cust service # in the email on Dec 26. They admitted it was lost and we choose to have another resent. We did receive another email but it had no way to track the 2nd item. As of Dec 30 we have no idea if/when it is supposed to arrive.
I ordered a gift for a friend in the Midwest on December 17, for delivery by December 24. It is now scheduled for January 2, so it didn't arrive by Christmas and my friend has left for two months. Uncommon Goods refunded shipping, but won't refund for the order or waive shipping fees for a replacement. Customer service is pretty unyielding. If I don't get a good outcome, I won't be ordering from them again although I like their products.
Same printing mistake repeated twice, no gift to give
I ordered a very expensive, customized sports book from them. When it arrived, the customization was cut off and only partially printed. I immediately contact them for a refund, and they convinced me to let them reprint it. We had a couple of weeks to Christmas, so I agreed that I would wait for another if it arrived by the 18th. Of course, it did not arrive by the 18th, and when it did arrive two days late, the EXACT SAME PRINTING ERROR was on the book. It was a repeat of the first problem. Unbelievable, so I'm out a Christmas gift, at least a couple of hours worth of time going back and forth with customer service, and I'm tremendously disappointed. Will be my last Uncommon Goods order for sure.
I was excited to see some quite good gift ideas on the website but after ordering something it seems no progress has been made in the shipping I'm still hoping it arrives before Christmas but I don't have much faith unfortunately even with the expedited shipping which costed twice the amount.
