I just received the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced from your call center. Manager, Chris told me that I would receive an update by 2 pm today. I didn’t receive that update and had to call. There was no progress on all 3 of the action items we discussed, and when I tried to escalate the issue, Chris disconnected the call. Upon calling back and being told Chris would call me back directly, I received no call again from Chris. When I called back, I was made to wait for an hour and 20 minutes for a manager that never answered my call. After that time I was told that I would receive a call back from Chris by the end of the day, but AGAIN I did not get a call back. I need someone to reach out to me so that I can make a formal complaint about my experience. I will be posting this on reviews as well.
I had a contract with Blue Solar that I signed in Sept 2025. At 1st they were very responsive but then they merged or were acquired by SunPower. At that point, everything needed to be redone under the new name. I gave them a down payment into an escrow account of $18,000 in February. Since then, communication has deteriorated. It has been a few months since I have received any communication. I have tried calling and emailing and still crickets. I have gotten through to their support line and those people tell me someone will call me back but no one ever gets back to me. At this point, it will soon be 1 year since I started this project and I have no solar panels and am out $18,000. Yesterday while taking to support again, I asked for the direct phone number of the manager the support person was reaching out to help me. I just called that number and it goes directly to voice mail without telling me whose voice mail box this belongs to. When I looked up the number, it does show it is a Sunpower number. I am beyond frustrated. I was told my panels could be installed before the start of 2026 so that I could be eligible for the federal rebates. That never happened. At the same time, I had heat pumps installed and disconnected my oil furnace with the understanding that the solar would be completed about the same time as the heat pumps so that they would help offset the electricity costs of the Heat pumps. Since that did not happen and the winter was colder than normal and the summer has been very hot our electricity bills have been very high. This company is holding my money hostage and is ghosting me. They have cost me a ton of money and I have nothing to show for it but frustration and higher electricity bills. Update: it is now 8/5/2026. Even though they have stated that they are sorry here and on a BBB complaint they still have not contacted me directly to apologize and discuss the return of my deposit. So here I am, more than 2 weeks later and still ghosted by the company, no phone calls, emails, texts and also still no refund of my $18,000 deposit.
I would give a negative 10 if I could. We started our install with Sunpower/Blue Raven the very last week in January or 1st week in February 2026. Its June 30th,2026 and our panels are still not installed properly. We are not using them and never have because they are not installed properly. They told us that 12 panels were not working and they ordered 12 replacement panels. That was over 2 months. We still don't have them to this day. One panel cracked on the end. One guy came out and said he was going to order it and it should be a few days. Its been over a month, no panel. Then they sent another crew out a few weeks later and they took the broken panel off. We got a text from SunPower/Blue Raven, stating they would be out on Friday June 26th 2026 and again, no one showed up. As of today, June 30th, 2026, we still have one panel missing and the panels are not turned on for use. Again, it has been since the first week in February when the work was started and they are still not finished. The loan company wants us to start making payments, but we have no service with the panels. In other words, we're still paying a high light bill, and now the bill for the solar panels are due. The worst company ever. I truly regret using these people. Please find someone else to purchase solor panels from.
I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with the service provided by Blue Raven Solar & Sun Power. It has been over eight months since my solar panels were installed, and the entire process has been a nightmare of constant delays, technical errors, and poor communication. The company made several critical mistakes on my DTE interconnection application, including listing the wrong equipment, which forced a complete restart of the approval process months after installation. Even after receiving Permission to Operate (PTO), the system is not producing solar energy as expected, and the company has failed to complete the setup in the Enphase app. Furthermore, they have been completely unresponsive regarding promised compensation for these extensive delays and a $1,500 referral bonus. I strongly advise anyone considering Blue Raven Solar & Sun Power to look elsewhere. Their lack of accountability and technical oversight is unacceptable. I am now forced to seek legal counsel to resolve these outstanding issues.
Too many companies reaching out like - BlueRaven, Sunder, Palmetto, SunPower . Hard to know if they are still all under SunPower. Palmetto app updates are super sluggish, and license approval alone took 2 months. Not sure, if that's normal. Otherwise, until installation complete - they seemed good supportive.
Tl;DR: If you value your time, mental health, and anything that resembles "customer service," DO NOT PURCHASE YOUR SYSTEM FROM THIS COMPANY Over the past four months, we have been trying to resolve an underperforming solar system with Blue Raven/Sunpower and have experienced some of the worst customer service we’ve ever encountered. In November 2025, we contacted our sales consultant after noticing that our system appeared to be underproducing based on the Enphase Enlighten monitoring app. The consultant reviewed the numbers and agreed the system appeared to be underperforming. He explained that if the system wasn’t producing, Blue Raven/Sunpower would either install additional panels at no cost to get the system within 10% of the promised output or financially compensate us. He directed us to contact post-install support to start the process. Support initially agreed the production looked low and scheduled a technician visit for December 1. However, we never received any follow-up. When I called to ask about the results, I was told the system was “working as expected,” but no explanation or data was provided. When I questioned how that conclusion was reached given our production numbers, the representative dismissively said that just because I disagreed didn’t mean they needed to do anything. Later that same day we received a text from someone in the work order department stating the appointment had actually been cancelled because the system was “overproducing for the month.” This contradicted what we had just been told and raised questions about whether the technician visit ever happened at all. After clarifying that the issue was annual production relative to the contract guarantee, a Low Production Inquiry (LPI) was supposedly opened in December. Since then, resolving this issue has required constant follow-up from us. We have repeatedly been promised callbacks that never happened, spent long periods on hold trying to reach supervisors, and received conflicting information from different representatives. At one point we were even told we were “not eligible,” despite earlier confirmation that an inquiry had been opened. As of today, more than four months later, we still have no answers and no resolution. The most frustrating part is that our production numbers clearly show the system is underperforming relative to the contract guarantee. Multiple 18-month periods fall 17–24% below the expected production, which should trigger corrective action according to the terms of the agreement. The pre-installation experience with Blue Raven was smooth and professional, which makes this situation even more disappointing. Unfortunately, once the system was installed, getting meaningful support became extremely difficult. At this point we are simply asking Blue Raven/Sunpower to review the production data and honor the guarantee outlined in our contract. Instead, we’ve spent months chasing basic communication.
We purchased a new home in 2024 equipped with a SunPower solar system. Initially, it worked for a few months, but since late 2024, it has failed to produce power. We've had multiple SunPower technicians attempt to diagnose and fix the problem, but each service appointment is an extremely lengthy process. Scheduling takes at least one to two months, and there is a persistent lack of communication and coordination between visits. Each time, it feels as though the technicians have to start troubleshooting from scratch. To date, they have replaced our microinverters three times, installed faulty ones, and even replaced the monitoring system twice--soon to be a third time. I am consistently left chasing them for updates and pushing to get rescheduled. I am repeatedly told the case is being escalated, but this only prolongs the delays. As we near mid-2026, our solar system has been non-functional for almost two years. It is especially frustrating because no other homes in our community have encountered these issues. The only positive aspect is that the technicians themselves are consistently professional and courteous, though they appear hampered by internal restrictions. Overall, SunPower's service has been a significant financial and logistical burden, and we cannot recommend them based on our experience. We hope to receive compensation for the last two years, but that has not been guaranteed yet.
The Solar Power Purchase Agreement was explained thoroughly and matched up with independent research I did. Very trustworthy with the information that was shared. Scheduling installation and inspections was drama free.
I'm having a hard time assessing my satisfaction. My system hasn't been reporting for a very long time and I've had difficulties when I've tried to reconnect. I received an email with my yearly report and it showed that the system was producing less than half the previous years level. If someone could help me get it back online I would appreciate it. As for the production, perhaps my panels need to be cleaned
Definitely not what I was promised still receiving power bills just like it would be if I didn’t have solar the absolute biggest waste of money that I have ever spent so not happy
2 years after the install, multiple leaks thru the roof. Had a brand new roof before the solar install. Called blue raven. They said their installers are private contractors and they dont warranty install work. Great!
I have had a pretty good experience with the panels other than 1 of the panels not showing what's happening on the app. I have had decently low electricity bills.
Our experience with solar has been an investment. We have had a few problems with our system but they have been quickly resolved. Overall, we are satisfied with our decision to go solar.
The solar panels have worked as expected to lower my monthly energy bills.
The solar panels have worked as advertised. My lowest electric bill was $13.56 in September 2025 and my highest electric bill was $124.70 in January 2025. My January 2026 bill was $96.52. Since I heat my home with natural gas, my bill averages $75 over a 12 month period which is less than what i paid prior to the solar panel installation.
I got my solar panels installed about two years ago. I started noticing one of my panels not producing energy. I kept an eye on my production through the enphase app. I called and it took over 6 months before the problem was fixed. They sent out a few different people to switch the panel from one area to another and finally they gave me a new switchboard for the panel. Overall its cool that I have solar but it doesnt void the electric bill. Eventually after I pay the panels off I want to get grid-scale battery storage to store my own energy produced. Overall what used to be blue raven now Sunpower is good but always do your research.
Love my panels and I'm glad I got them. I was hesitant but decided to get them because power prices will always be going up. My panels have off set the price of my power bill quite a bit. SunPower (formerly Blue Raven) installed my panels and did an excellent job. I'm very happy with the results. The "date of experience" only lets me go back to February 2025, but we've had our panels for probably 4-5 years now.
