Thanks to Stock Navigators for my growth as a trader
Several years ago, on two separate occasions, I pursued options trading education. The goal was to add some additional income as I had two young children we were attempting to provide for. I learned lots about calls, puts, debit spreads, credit spreads, calendar spreads, butterflies with explosion positions, etc, but the education did not focus on chart reading. Between the education and actually live trading, thousands of dollars were lost. Later in life, and for different reasons, I still wanted to learn how to trade consistently. I came across a Stock Navigators ad, and became intrigued by Tom’s story. From the reviews I read, it seemed several of Tom’s students over time were able to replace their income with trading, or substantially add to it. With the other companies I interacted with, the instructors appeared to be profitable, but not the current students. Tom’s curriculum focuses first on technical analysis (after getting your brokerage account setup and functioning). One might think understanding a trend is simple, but it is routed in Dow Theory. On top of that Tom teaches about support and resistance, Supply and Demand zones, order blocks, Fair Value gaps, and the use of the Fibonacci tools. Along with the technical aspects of chart reading, Tom teaches about trading psychology, and risk management. Additionally, the art of having patience rings through the livestreams on a daily basis. An ample understanding of all of these topics is key to deciding when to enter, where to enter, how to enter, and how long to stay in a trade to achieve the risk to reward ratio required to become consistently profitable. I feel like I have now received a master’s in trading relative to what I experienced in the past. I am beginning to feel like I know how to trade! Tom created the curriculum, and has brought in excellent teachers in Cleve and Vu to help him teach his students. I have personally learned 90% of what I know from a live trading perspective listening to Cleve and Tom’s daily live streams. I also found listening to the daily coaching calls helpful as lots of questions I was hesitant to ask openly were asked by other students. An added benefit also is the Stock Navigator’s community. Highly skilled, successful traders are present in the community answering questions for those who ask. Going back to my previous educational experiences, I never found anyone outside of the instructor community that shared their successes consistently. With Stock Navigator’s, you see successful traders posting their trades on a daily basis. I am still a work in progress, but I can see consistency in my future if I continue to put the work in, and adhere to the teachings and discipline.
