We rented from Southern Comfort and the place was amazing! We booked an incredible place right on Main Street and were able to visit all the cute shops and restaurants. As nice as the place was, their staff was the best part. We talked to their reservations staff before booking and the guest service staff when we needed some local area info and they were so kind. Definitely "Southern Hospitality" at its best.
Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this property. We arrived to find numerous issues, including an incorrect bedroom listing (advertised as a king bed but actually a queen), a non-functioning oven, a TV in the den that constantly flickered whenever it was turned on, excessively noisy ceiling fans, dirty dishes in the cabinets, dirty floors, rodent droppings in kitchen drawers, a dead mouse under the sink, the main deck covered in charcoal ash, the terrace-level deck covered in green mold, and several other cleanliness and maintenance issues. The most concerning issue was the condition of the bed linens in every bedroom. Based on what we found, we did not feel they had been freshly changed before our arrival. We had no choice but to sleep in them the first night because housekeeping could not come until the following day. Even after housekeeping arrived, the bed linens still were not changed until we specifically requested it, despite providing management with a detailed list of everything that needed to be addressed. Maintenance had to come to the property four separate times during our stay. One visit was to replace a downstairs bedroom smoke detector that had been disabled and began chirping throughout the day and night. When we took it down to check the battery so we could put our baby to bed, we discovered it had been permanently deactivated and needed to be replaced. Communication was also very poor. Responses through the Airbnb app were slow, and management repeatedly chose to communicate by phone after 8:00 p.m. Our requests to speak by phone during normal business hours were ignored, making it difficult to get timely answers while leaving very little documented in the Airbnb message thread. Because this was a holiday weekend, neither the property management company nor Airbnb was able to provide alternative accommodations, so we were forced to remain at the property while the issues were addressed. For a property costing over $500 per night, we expected a clean, safe, and accurately represented home. Instead, we spent the beginning of our vacation documenting issues, coordinating housekeeping and maintenance, and following up on problems that should have been resolved before we arrived. Even after providing a detailed written list and speaking directly with housekeeping, the main deck remained covered in charcoal ash. The terrace-level deck was also covered in green mold throughout our stay. Despite all of these issues, we received only a $167 refund, which did not come close to reflecting the impact these problems had on our stay. We would not stay at this property again, and based on our experience, we would not book another property managed by Southern Comfort Cabin Rentals.
At first when we arrive to our cabin at Blue Ridge Georgia 490 Eagles Nest Dr., Blue Ridge, GA. Everything seemed fine. We booked the cabin for four nights. Price is a little high but that’s OK. It’s summertime. Our stay in the cabin was OK. There was a lot of things broken. The hot tub was leaking. They did send out a mechanic to fix it , try to fix it unable to fix it, ,but we did notice the downstairs bedroom would not lock or the bathroom so no privacy there and also we noticed a lot of the baseboards on top of the kitchen. Cabinets were busted and broken so we said that’s fine. We still enjoyed our stay and had a great time but then when we get HOME , another bill two days later , saying that we had a dog in the cabin I don’t even own a dog. I’ve never owned a dog my whole life we had a dog next-door run into our cabin just for a second, but I kicked the dog out really quick now they’re trying to charge me a fee watch out. These people are shady. Very scandalous. Very very sneaky people ????? Make sure you documentation everything when you first go in their cabins take pictures. They’re trying to say that we had dog food in the cabin. That’s not true because I don’t own a dog. Why would I bring dog food to a cabin when I don’t own a dog.!!!
We had a group celebration for my wife’s birthday.
We had a group celebration for my wife’s birthday. The cabin was perfectly equipped to handle our party of 10. A secluded feel to the location along the river while only minutes from town. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend.

We had an absolutely wonder wonderful stay at Soaring Hawk
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this beautiful cabin through Southern Comfort Cabin Rentals! From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The cabin was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had the perfect balance of cozy charm and modern comfort. The setting was peaceful and relaxing, with stunning views that made it easy to unwind and truly enjoy our time away. Every detail was thoughtfully taken care of—from the well-equipped kitchen to the comfortable beds and inviting living spaces. It truly felt like a home away from home. The rental process was smooth and stress-free, and the Southern Comfort team was responsive and helpful throughout our stay. Whether you’re looking for a quiet getaway or a place to make special memories with family, this cabin is the perfect choice. We can’t wait to come back and would highly recommend Southern Comfort Cabin Rentals to anyone looking for a top-notch mountain escape!
This home was amazing! Huge and beautiful and well equipped in every way. We had a wonderful week with three generations together in lovely Blue Ridge.
I appreciate the variety of offerings, professional photos, website navigation and stellar customer service. The uniqueness and interior cleanliness along with necessary supplies are well thought out. Reasonable pricing. I had requested, through the call service to have the outer decks blown off as they were full of heavy dust and debris. The hot tub cover was coated, and all outdoor seating. I was told they would put in a work order, but the entire five days I was there, it was not completed. Aside from everything else, it was delightful. I have to remark such a beautiful property. I would have liked to have had some river access at the bottom of the stairs leading to the river. I could not get close to the water to dip my toe in or play.
The little A frame House was the most perfect get away for our anniversary! Clean and close to down town. And the running water in the back was a great way to end our evenings
WE LOVED THIS CABIN!!! Beautiful and quiet. Only thing that we experienced is that it seemed like we may have been the first people to rent this cabin this year and the porches and outdoor furniture were covered in pollen. One of the chairs out at the fire pit was broken upon arrival but that did not impact the use of that area. We tried to clean off the pollen from the screened in porch area, but it was extensive and that area was unusable. If that was taken care of prior to our arrival, this would have been perfect.
We rented the moonlight retreat for the pool. However when we arrived on Saturday May 30th the pool was green! We were hopeful that issue would get taken care of and that the pool would get clean. However that was not the case. We called Monday to complain about the situation. Tuesday at 1130 the neighbor who lives in the barn in the front of the property came over to throw pool shock into the pool. When we asked him about it he said he is just doing a “favor for the owners” and that if we had a complaint to bring it up with southern comfort. So I called southern comfort again and voiced my opinion. I stated that having the neighbor come was not going to resolve the issue and that I did not want to have to call back in 4 hours when they said my family would be able to swim; when in fact we wouldn’t be able to swim. You guessed right; I had to call back and complain and send more pictures. At this point my family with young kids were getting very frustrated with the fact that the pool was green with algae and cloudiness and sediment. I called, emailed, and sent picture updates everyday. For being on vacation this was not relaxing at all. I spent so much of my time exposing to my kids that it was unsafe to swim in the pool. Southern comfort said that the owners are responsible for the pool and that we needed to wait until Thursday for the regularly scheduled pool cleaning day. Thursday came and the pool lady said she had just treated the pool last Thursday for this algae problem and shocked it then. So the fact that the owners were aware of the algae problem and let the pool continue in this state and have people rent the house is ridiculous. If you cannot maintain the pool to the state that you advertise than you should not have a pool. Southern comfort contract states pristine pool conditions with refreshing and relaxing experience. The fact that we couldn’t use the pool the entire week we were there is extremely saddening. The pool cleaner shocked the pool and closed it until Friday. Unfortunately Friday came and the pool was still green and cloudy and absolutely disgusting. You could not even see the cleaner robot in the deep end because it was that dark and disgusting. Saturday when we left the pool was still green aswell. So I feel bad for the next family to rent the house aswell. All around this was one of the worst and most frustrating vacations I have ever taken. I spoke with 4 different southern comfort representatives and they said they were in contact with owner relations and management to get us into the pool as quickly as possible. Well that never happened and that is quite sad. Extremely disappointed and dissatisfied with the owners (Cecilia and Steven) and also southern comfort for not delivering.
The house was very nice. The out side areas could use a little updating. Some of the cushions are very flat. The grounds need some work lots of weeds. Overall the house was well done. Grandkids enjoyed all the games.
Every step from beginning to end easily done. Attention of staff was remarkable great. Checked in on me to see how first night faired. The location was beautiful. Received actually what I was needing. Rest, quiet peace and the beauty of the trails.
The booking process was easy and the host was professional and attentive. The cabin was lovely and the decor was very tasteful and beautiful. The view from the cabin was nice. The only downside was the lake access was very steep and further away than the pictures show. Also, cabin is due a deep clean. I feel that if the cabin had been checked before our check in, a lot of the cleanliness issues would’ve been noticed.
The cabin is beautiful and in a perfect location. It was extremely clean and had most of the things we needed. The kitchen could use a few more knives, spoons for cereal, a smaller skillet and a muffin tin. The outdoor garbage cans could also have more secure lids because animals got into them two different nights. The yard is amazing for the children to run and play but we never located the corn hole game. The staff was excellent and when we had a couple of issues they sent help quickly. I would return and recommend it to families especially.
