Worst client attention
Worst client attention. Sent 4 emails and it always returned with some kind of lame LLM. User experience is very bad. Don't recommend.

Honestly after a few years of using Songtrust. Here are my honest takes (and I really wish someone from Songtrust would reach out to me to help) - They are actually good at collecting royalties and they do get payments from international sources like they said - The interface is very easy to use - Royalty statements are clear and easy to read - Quarterly payments are reliable Here is where the problems have been for me: - CUSTOMER SERVICE: I have customer support tickets that sometimes don't get answered for 3-6 months, and even when they do... the issues never get fixed. - I submitted things to be amended / edited over a year ago, and they told me it will take a couple of Quarters to reflect the changes made... Still none of the changes are showing up on the MLC or on BMI (also they did not send me proof or confirmation to these changes being submitted) - They don't track or add recordings to The MLC (this has been a big problem for me) , for instance I have a title that has multiple remixes by different remixers... they never added those recordings to the MLC. some of these songs/titles have much more streams and radio plays than what is being reported on the statement. - YouTube claims has been weak - Missing Metadata is an issue. Like seriously a lot of the changes I want is simply to add ISWC, fix Alternate titles , etc.... and they have not been able to deliver. My highest paying tracks are ones that I registered MYSELF on BMI , and then registered them on SONGTRUST once the ISWC is issued, all alternate titles and performers are displayed correctly. (full disclosure I WAS ADVISED BY SONGTRUST NOT TO DO THIS, but those titles have made me the most money, and the reporting has been the best by far on them) - 2nd biggest issue: there seems to be only one person that keeps receiving my tickets. She has been nice, but I can tell the support staff are overwhelmed. Perhaps they can refer my cases and tickets to someone that I can actually speak who is senior, or from Downtown Music Publishing - Basically my final and most important take: We artists and songwriters need to focus on the music making and not the admin stuff. Songtrust has a great service, but bad customer service. If they really fix that and be more efficient at that and faster they would have the best service. I hope I receive a nice response for them where they actually help me fix all this stuff

I'd give zero stars if I could. If you'd like to have a company manage your catalog that only serves you with AI bots this is one for you! They are unorganized and completely unresponsive. They have NEVER responded to me in a timely manner and when they do roughly 4 months later (not even exaggerating) they will respond with a generic canned response. My feeling is they do this so they hold you catalog forever. This is THE most useless company I've ever worked with. I'd love to leave them- but they don't answer my emails and there's no other way to contact them. DON'T SIGN UP WITH SONGTRUST.

What makes songtrust reliable is that they monitor and track all the songs in their system before sending the eligible tracks for registration. They also have another offer called Songtrust Amplified where members get to know their status and level they have reached. I just shared my current experience with them so far i will update them in the future.

Very very solid response time and got all the info I needed related to MLC/ SongTrust. I already have SongTrust so I don’t need to go forward with the MLC—big relief 😅

Songtrust has made the publishing side of music feel much easier to manage. As an independent artist and producer, it helps to have one place to organize registrations, track publishing information, and feel more confident that the business side of the catalog is being handled properly. The platform is straightforward, the process is clear, and it gives creators a better way to stay on top of publishing without feeling lost in the details. For artists who care about ownership, royalties, and long term catalog management, Songtrust is a strong tool to have in place. I appreciate the structure, the user experience, and the peace of mind it gives independent creators.

Hello Songtrust Team, I have a question regarding my publishing administration setup. I already have a The MLC login account, but I have not created a songwriter member profile. Since Songtrust administers my publishing, should I create a songwriter member profile with The MLC, or should I leave it unclaimed and allow Songtrust to handle the administration and collection of my mechanical royalties? I also have a BMI Writer Account. If Songtrust is acting as my publishing administrator and registering my works on my behalf, do I still need to manually register or re-register my songs with BMI as the writer, or will Songtrust handle the registrations while BMI continues to pay my writer’s share directly to me? I would appreciate any clarification you can provide to help ensure my catalog is set up correctly and that there are no duplicate registrations or conflicts. Thank you for your time and assistance. Best regards, Godstime

I had a very frustrating experience with support response times on Songtrust. My account issue remained unresolved for several months, and communication was extremely slow at different stages of the process. To be fair, the team eventually responded and provided clarification regarding compliance and publishing documentation requirements, but the overall process took much longer than expected and created a lot of uncertainty on my side. I believe the platform could improve its customer support response time and provide clearer guidance earlier in the process, especially for independent labels, managers, and first-time publishing administrators trying to understand the system properly. Hopefully they continue improving the support experience for users.

Hey, Songtrust doesn't regurgitate the contractual agreement, that suggest a bad dealing for me though. Not sure what you think. For me, they are not showing any further concerns for my catalog other than I am apart of a bland agreement quite sketchy of them. Hopefully something else comes along with the same stature publicly.

Extremely poor customer service. I have been attempting to resolve an incorrect registration by Songtrust that has prevented payments to my account. On 24 February, I was assigned case number 42245572441 and informed that Lucie would be handling the matter. After seven weeks and numerous follow‑up emails, she eventually responded and made limited progress toward setting up my account correctly. Since then communication has ceased entirely, no replies or acknowledgements for over two weeks now. This lack of responsiveness is both disappointing and unacceptable.

reference number - 44623206173 I am writing to follow up—again—regarding my catalog, which has now been pending for over 8 months. This delay is not just an inconvenience; it is actively affecting my ability to collect and manage royalties through ASCAP. I have sent multiple emails during this time and have not received any meaningful response or resolution. The lack of communication is extremely concerning. To be clear: My catalog was submitted approximately 8 months ago It remains in a pending state with no updates This situation is directly impacting my income and professional obligations I need immediate clarification on the following: What is causing this delay? What is the current status of my catalog? When will this be resolved? If this issue cannot be resolved promptly, I need to know what steps I can take to withdraw my catalog and move forward through another service. Please treat this as urgent. I expect a response within a reasonable timeframe. Sincerely,Laura Dinu

Hello Songtrust Team, This is my final attempt to resolve multiple unanswered support requests before taking further action. Over the past several months, I have submitted numerous inquiries regarding account, documentation, and publishing matters for my two SongTrust accounts. Despite receiving automated confirmations (most of the time) and assigned case representatives (Stephanie E. and Laura), I have not received a single substantive response, update, or resolution. This is absolutely and completely unacceptable. Outstanding cases: EFRE.contact at gmail • Jan 6 – Ref #39272902557 → No response • Feb 10 – Follow-up → No response • March 7 – Ref #43143805443 → No response • March 9 – Ref #43157425738 → No response AstronautAgency.label at gmail • Feb 8 & Feb 11 → Time-sensitive inquiries → No confirmation, no case number, no response This is not a minor delay. This is a complete lack of support across multiple requests over an extended period of time. It’s also concerning that I received a response to a public Trustpilot review, while multiple direct support inquiries have been consistently ignored. That contrast does not reflect well on your support process. At this point, I am requesting the following within 48 hours: •Direct responses to all open inquiries •Confirmation that my cases are being actively handled •A clear explanation for the lack of communication If I do not receive a response within that timeframe, I will proceed with: •Terminating both accounts •Transitioning to a different publishing administrator •Sharing my experience publicly within industry circles to reflect the lack of support I’ve encountered I would prefer to resolve this and continue working with Songtrust, but as it stands, that is not possible without immediate action on your end. I expect a prompt response. Hope to hear from you this time, Jeffrey Stephen Barlow
