This year I went to Rapid City, South Dakota and it was amazing! God gathered an amazing group to serve this year the community of Rapid City. We helped rebuild a deck and painted a wonderful ladies living space. This year we had 3 interns serve along side us and they were incredible! They were super helpful and ready to serve.
Mission Discovery is by far the best organization yet that we have used for our youth mission trips! They were so organized, accommodating and full of the Lord's grace! We saw God in so many ways throughout our work week, especially through the people we met as we shared our stories together. We will definitely be staying with Mission Discovery for our future trips!
This was the most organized and put together mission trip I have been on yet! They had a schedule and we stuck to it. The leaders and interns are so kind and inviting. The interns ate lunch with us and did mission work too!! If you are on the fence of what company to do your mission trip through, definitely choose this one!!
Mission Discovery was hands down the best Mission Trip experience I have had! From the Leadership to the Team we all worked together to be the hands and feet of Jesus! God was at work from the projects we did to the children loved on Gods fingerprint of love and His presence was felt among us! It was great to be apart of what God was doing!
My mission trip to Guatemala 🇬🇹 was amazing to say the least. Our team did have a few hiccups due to flights of other churches that were unable to make it on this mission trip. Even though we had unforeseen circumstances, we were still able to build three homes and do food/supply distribution within the community. Kate and Whitney were amazing through everything.
What a life changing experience! I can't say enough great things about this trip. All the fears I had prior to the trip just vanished as soon as the trip started because everything went so smooth and even with the various changes that had to be made throughout, I never noticed the panic moments. The staff kept us well informed and we adapted and adjusted along the way and knowing God was in the center of it all just secured our hearts in knowing that we were right where we were meant to be. It was a fantastic trip, the location was amazing and the work we did there truly changed my heart. Everyday I saw God multiple times and found myself very emotional. I felt my heart posture changing and how God was not only moving me, but the whole entire team. What started out as strangers, we quickly became a family over a weeks time. I look forward to the next calling God puts on my heart to do a missions trip because I know He goes before us and knows right where we are meant to be and what we are to do.
My trip was fantastic. I had a very good time. I learned a lot about God and the leader of our mission mission trip person, and the people at the mission discovery were great and incisive and I really appreciate you letting us do the work that we did get to do thank you with all my heart and God bless you.
This experience was completely new. I haven't ever met such a welcoming and loving community. The work although seemed smaller, as in the actual effect on the house, I still felt it was a good bit difficult but fulfilling. I hope to go again next year.
Our trip had so many bumps in the road from the beginning, but Whitney and Kate and the rest of the team were so great at making sure we were informed during our time there and that we were taken care of. Through all the changes and all the things, they were calm and steady and really allowed God to work it all out through them.
Our week in Asheville was great. Courtney did an amazing job of organization, administration and ministry. We enjoyed meeting and worshiping with her family. Staying in the dorm was a great setup for our group. The food in the dining hall was excellent. Mission Discovery always creates an atmosphere where teenagers can encounter Jesus.
All around it was a truly great experience!! This was my second year going on a mission trip. Having the opportunity to work worship and fellowship along side fellow believers is one of the most spiritual things one could be a part of. Watching God work through not only myself but through the lives of others affirms what and why we do what we do as believers! Thank you again for this huge opportunity and blessing! God Bless!!
I just love the fact that everyone that goes builds a huge bond with others and the lord. And just everyone we meet within mission discovery is just awesome and so kind to other people.
Our team had an incredible time serving in Asheville! Our leaders, Don and Anna were fabulous! We loved seeing our teenagers grow in their faith and in confidence as they ministered to people and learned new hands-on skills. Additionally, being able to have a team of all ages brought a family and biblical intergenerational dynamic to the trip that many other youth trips miss. We look forward to booking with Mission Discovery another time!
What made this experience so meaningful was the variety of opportunities our group had to learn what missions can look like in different settings. Throughout the week, we participated in street witnessing, partnered with a local church to work in their community garden, renovated homes damaged by Hurricane Helene, and assisted with ongoing hurricane relief efforts. What I loved most about the week was that the mission was not only to serve but also to build relationships and love the community well. It was a privilege to connect with the people of Asheville, hear their stories, and pray with them. Taking the time to listen and build genuine relationships helps people feel seen, heard, and valued. Rather than beginning with a message, we began with compassion and allow the Holy Spirit to work in people's hearts. Taking time to learn people's names, hear their stories, and understand their experiences. As trust grew, many people became more open to sharing their hearts, allowing natural opportunities to talk about faith and the hope we have in Jesus. Those connections also helped our mission team better understand how to pray specifically for the people we met and continue to support them beyond our time there. I also loved building relationships with the leadership team at Mission Discovery. Don and Ana were incredible leaders who guided and encouraged our team as we served the Asheville community. Their leadership, support, and heart for ministry made a lasting impact on our experience. Thanks for this wonderful experience.
This experience was truly one that I’ll take with me forever! The leaders were so amazing, helpful and filled with the holy spirit :) everyone was so kind and as an individual going on this mission everyone was so welcoming! The God sightings each night was a great way for us to see even the little ways that God moves throughout our days instead of always looking for the big miracles. We also had worship and devotional time which was a great way to abide in Jesus and really get to spend time with the Lord.
There are no words to actually describe the depth of this experience. When we bow our hearts to God and let Him be the main event, He shows out. I was blessed to get to become close to the pastor’s wife. Though neither of us spoke the others language and there was often only the two of us working together, the Holy Spirit knit our hearts together. God is always faithful to do mighty things for His children who are building His Kingdom through Jesus Christ. The children will forever be in my heart as well. The country was beautiful, and the area we slept in- peaceful.
