Kickresume is almost entirely useless as an AI based resume builder. When it tailors a resume, it adds everything that the job description states instead of tailoring your original resume to fit it more exactly. Then, it adds far too many words for each bulletin point, which it then tells you (in the improve section) that there are too many words and you should shorten it. Also, in the improve section, it offers "synonyms" for overused words, but it is the absolute worst list of synonyms. For instance, it's only synonym for "Negotiate" is "Negociate". It will also track your jobs you've applied for, but only if it can find it. It cannot find most of the jobs I applied to. I find myself using Claude.ai or ChatGPT to actually build a resume and then put it in kickresume's layout. There are numerous problems with kickresume. I would recommend against using it.

My experience with Kickresume has been exceptionally positive, making it a standout tool for anyone looking to revamp their professional profile. The platform offers a wide variety of modern, visually striking templates that instantly make a resume stand out to recruiters without sacrificing professionalism. I especially appreciated the AI-powered writing assistant and content suggestions, which helped me articulate my achievements and skills more effectively. The user-friendly interface made the entire process from importing my old LinkedIn data to customizing the layout seamless and stress-free. Furthermore, the ability to effortlessly match my resume design with a corresponding cover letter ensured a cohesive and polished job application.
