Decent systems with some quirks. Terrible customer service.

Decent systems with some quirks. Awful customer service. The machine has had multiple hardware parts go out that need to be replaced and the company gives no help at all. They helped a little the first year with the pcb but conveniently they didn’t provide much help until the system was out of warranty. Then of course the told me the part I needed to purchase and explained it would no longer be under warranty. I’ve since had worse issues with the main system and they provide no options. They just keep saying they will “escalate it to their engineers.” Months go by nothing happens. It’s been 3 years now… it looks like it’s catching up with them. They no longer have anything in stock, not even the basic plant baskets.

Says plant is ready when not

The only problem is it tries to tell me when the plant is done, right now im suppose to check for flushing saturday. That thing aint even close to flushing. In fact almost all my plants in the system says they should be done a month before its even close. Might have to switch to pro mode.

Parts required to use are completely unavailable

Most parts required for operation as well as nutrients have been out of stock for almost a year. This company seems to be going out of business. The "face" of the company has left. The nutrients are part of a recurring subscription which they are no longer able to offer which seems like a massive revenue issue. Dont buy this. It requires consumable parts that are constantly out of stock with no aftermarket options.

I have not been successful with the machine. They replaced two motherboards and it still doesn’t work. Customer service has been much help. I would suggest you consider another company.

Still haven't received contact back in…

Still haven't received contact back in regards to the whole top piece being damaged due to shipping. Awful experience. Want to like the company but being ignored for weeks by Kayla is pretty unprofessional. The entire top piece is destroyed. I've sent multiple emails with nothing back.

The actual product is fantastic

The actual product is fantastic. The problem is a quality assurance since the manufacturing of it is inconsistent. There are usually alignment gaps (some can be solved), and some people report some malfunction or common issues. The problem I have is with the stocking, listing, and the accessories that are always sold out and not restocked. I have been waiting for accessories such as the trellis starters kit, trellis nets, the bud cam, the bloom lights, nano airstone, and other accessories, but they have been out of stock forever and no sign of restocking. Customer service is very generic, and the 1 on 1 assistance is basically non existent. You can communicate with them and they will get back to you. But there is no live support. Also one of my boxes was purchased on Amazon and was supposed to be the OG Pro but I received the 420 pro. So now I have 2 420 pros instead of having a OG Pro. I am concerned about parts, after a while. Is the accessories are always out of stock and sold out, what if I need maintenance parts or exchange part, such as a new USB hub if it’s defective or any other part. Over all though the actual box is fantastic. I would recommend using your own nutrients, but the hey Abby nutes will do the job. For a new or inexperienced grower looking to start small or to learn, it is excellent.

Unable to use

1st grow went ok. Accidentally let the subscription lapse and now I’ve been unable to rejoin the subscription for 8 months now. It continually says sold out. They also will not sell the grow cups so now I have a useless grow box.

Customer service is non existent

Customer service is non existent. It took months to resolve a dispute related to an order that I never received. They said I had to make a claim through the shipping company, which was their agent - not mine. Also, it has been over 6 months since they have had the hydroponic baskets in stock. Can’t use their OG Pro without it. Had to make my own, because I got tired of have a $1,000 decorative box sitting in my garage. Also, don’t buy the humidifier. It never works. Extremely glitchy. Spider Farmer and other companies have DIY parts where you can put together your own fully automated system for around $400.

5 months no restock?????

Have been waiting on restock or any form of update for the last 4 months. Zero communication just repeated auto answers. Company must be shutting down for them to have no answer to when supplies will be available or grow boxes

Nothing seems to work properly on this machine. The pump never worked and now the lights don't go on and off at the set times. Should have bought a Vivosun.

terrible customer service, cheap parts used!!

water sensor broke inside the heyabby after 4 grows, just over 1 year of use so it was outside the warranty. contacted them to see if i could get a replacement part, as the heyabby ONLY functions if the water sensor is working. even though all it does is tell you if the water level in the reservoir is low, which during those 4 grows it never even got close to being low (poor design) they said they would let me know when they had them available with a wait of a month or so to expect. This was in October 2025, after many emails to them asking if they have them yet and getting no after no. I finally find out they have actually had the spare water sensors in stock the whole time but reserve them only for units still in warranty.. even when i said i would pay through the teeth for a spare part they still refuse to even SELL me one! I searched online to see if i could source my own replacement but could only find Chinese manufactures that would only sell me 1000pcs at a time. So the whole unit is just sitting there completely useless for 6 months with no hope of it working again without this one tiny spare part... over all a terrible experience I would avoid this company like the plague!!! they do not value their customers at all!! very poor customer service!! even rather rude in their emails to me at points like I am bothering them.. when it there job. There are so many cheap parts inside the hey abbey that could break and probably will break after one year of use, so you would be in the same situation I am in. No idea why they wouldn't just send me a spare part when they have them laying around.. seems like a bunch of fools running the company.

Unfortunately, this tin box does not generate heat. In Northern Europe, this system is useless. In California, it may work. I can use this box maybe 3 to 4 months a year. When the temperatures rise above 20 °C. For healthy germination, this is only enough to a limited extent. All in all, a flop. Too bad.

There is always something wrong.

There is always something wrong. It takes forever to get anything fixed and sent. Its a box with lights. All other functions do not work Please dont waste your money

Communication skills

I wanted to find out if a part was available that needed replacement due to being broke , unfortunately I wasn't able to provide the requested image of said part but I thought the personal helping me and myself were in agreement to what I needed after describing the part and it's function , an order was made and I received the wrong item and it wasn't even close so communication / miss communication is the issue

False advertising at €800 – and they try to sell you the fix

I purchased this device in March last year for €800 and have started my first project just recently because I was abroad for a year. Unfortunately, the product falls significantly short of what is advertised on this page. "All-in-one, easy to use" – Not quite. To actually control temperature and humidity, you need to purchase additional accessories that are not included and not mentioned in the listing. "Monitors nutrient values, pH and water temperature" The device does not monitor pH or nutrient values in any way. This is one of the main reasons I bought it, and it simply does not deliver on this claim. "Works almost silently" – This is the most blatant inaccuracy. The device is loud like an AC Unit. I would not describe it as suitable for a bedroom or living room as the listing implies. Customer service makes it worse. When I raised these concerns, instead of addressing my complaint, their support team sent me a promotional email recommending that I purchase their separate Bluetooth pH meter. So to summarize: they advertise pH monitoring as a built-in feature, and when you complain that it doesn't work, they try to sell you the tool you apparently needed all along. That tells you everything. I would strongly advise potential buyers to research carefully before purchasing, as the advertised features do not reflect the actual product experience.
