Steak came with hole on vacuum seal package, rotten lemon and missing tomato this week. Last week rotten broccoli and red cabbage. Getting to the point where might be worth trying another meal company. Otherwise it’s been great.
For the past few weeks a recipe card has not been included and I’ve had to go back online to print it out. That is very inconvenient. Then this last past week neither recipes cards for both recipes were NOT supplied. This is very disappointing.
The food has been pretty good so far. The meals are flavorful and the portions are good size. Our first box showed up a day late, which sucked because that's what we planned to have for dinner the night it should have arrived. One of our meals came without the instruction card, but I easily found it on the app. The meal we enjoyed last night was supposed to come with 6 small tortillas for tacos and we only got 5.
I don’t like that my food allergies can’t be listed. Two big ones are chicken and lettuce. There are a lot of chicken recipes that come up. And I have to bypass them.
I am a long time member of hello fresh, BUT it’s safe to say something isn’t quite right with production. Half the time I’m getting the wrong meal, missing almost all of the recipe cards or my good bags are busted open all over the box. But I really love the easy meals and I hate planning dinners so I stay. Until something better comes along, I really hope hello fresh can get it together because it seems like they are struggling.
Although the food was convenient, I was a bit upset that I didn't get all of the ingredients for my meal, causing us to not have dinner after I had started cooking. No refund, or credit was given for a meal we couldn't eat.
Well we never got our mail for hellofresh. Says it was either damaged or lost in shipping. So we have no bases to judge the company yet other than very poor initial service.
I was a loyal HelloFresh customer for approximately a year, consistently ordering 5–8 meals each week and never pausing my membership. I referred many friends some of whom became consistent customers as well. Last week, when I logged in on Sunday to choose my meals, I discovered that my box was already marked as “being prepared.” Sunday had always been my meal selection deadline, but HelloFresh moved the deadline up by a day, only two days prior to the new deadline. I had not seen the email notifying me of that change. Because I had not selected my meals, the order contained 12 meals that I did not want, resulting in a much higher cost than I would normally pay. I contacted customer service and asked either to cancel the order and issue a refund or to allow me to substitute the meals with the ones I actually wanted. I was, of course, willing to pay for the meals I selected—I simply did not want to pay for meals I never chose. The ones that had been in my cart at the time hellofresh moved up the deadline were the ones I shortlisted with a plan to make final selections on Sunday as I usually do. Unfortunately, the interaction with the customer service representative was very disappointing. Rather than trying to help, he was dismissive and seemed suspicious of my explanation that I had missed the revised deadline. My requests were repeatedly denied. After realizing that no reasonable solution would be offered, I said I would cancel my membership. Without any attempt to retain a long-term customer or address my concerns, the representative immediately replied, “I have successfully canceled your membership.” To make matters worse, moments later I received an automated email from HelloFresh offering me discounts if I returned. While I understand that it was automatically generated, receiving a promotional offer immediately after such a poor customer service experience felt impersonal, tone-deaf, and inconsistent with the value HelloFresh places on customer loyalty.
Things started off good with hello fresh I loved the convenience of getting my meals delivered to my door. The last three out of five boxes have been very disappointing. The first issue was my box was delivered to a wrong unit in my complex. The box after that was missing ingredients to complete the meals, my most recent box not only was missing a protein but I also didn't have my free item that I had selected. Considering the price that is being paid there should never be any box with missing ingredients, protein, or the freebie!
To many delivery issues and our meat is spoiled half the time by the time we open it. 5 minutes ago had to throw away a pound of chicken and it made the whole house stink after putting it on a hot pan. We like having the variety of food and convenience.
Yummy recipes and mostly easy to make. I hate chickens thighs and half chickens but I love the recipes that have them. I wish I could have an "opt out" or "always swap" chicken breasts for chicken thighs/half chicken. It would make ordering easier for me and make sure I never accidentally get a meat I really don't want. Delivery is always right on time with an email confirming it so I know it's there even if I'm not home.
The recipes taste good. But too often the ingredients are packaged in ways that make them difficult to use, like salsa used in multiple separate steps that comes in a bag you cannot reseal once opened, or the vegetables are bruised or starting to mold or otherwise go bad. And the app has become atrocious to work with! Cannot find anything! We couldn't even pull up the recipe for a meal we purchased where the recipe card was not included in the box. Cannot recommend Hello Fresh any more because it is not reliable.
