Great for Weight Loss, Disappointing for General Medical Care
I have mixed feelings about Hello Alpha. For weight loss management, they’ve been great, and I haven’t had any major issues with that part of their service. However, for other non-emergency medical concerns, my experience has been very frustrating. I’ve reached out for things like a yeast infection and a sinus infection, and it has taken days just to get prescribed medication. The providers often ask a question, but then I won’t receive another response until the following day, which unnecessarily delays treatment. There have been multiple times when I ended up going to urgent care because I couldn’t wait any longer for a prescription. I’ve also noticed that some providers don’t seem to thoroughly read what patients write. I’ll clearly include when my symptoms started, only to be asked the exact same question later. That makes me feel like my messages aren’t being carefully reviewed and that my time and concerns aren’t being valued. If you’re using Hello Alpha solely for weight loss, it has been a positive experience. But if you’re expecting timely treatment for other common medical issues, my experience has been disappointing due to the slow communication and delayed care.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND HELLO ALPHA FOR SCRIPTS!!!!
Hello Alpha prescribed my asthma inhalers and even resent the prescription because the insurance needed it written as a three-month supply rather than as a one-month supply. They answered all my messages / correspondence on the site in less than 24 hours - VERY FAST! The site was easy-to-use, and the process of obtaining meds was fast and convenient. Customer service has been EXCELLENT!!!

Overall been great
Overall been great. I understand the face to face call and no problem but because I was not told in advance I will be out of the medicine before they could schedule my visit. That is not right for the patient.

Hello Alpha is thorough, quick, and they work seamlessly with my own pharmacy, including getting prior authorizations done quickly every time my insurance requires a new one. I’ve been very pleased with experience and would gladly recommend them. I’ve been working with them monthly for over 2 years now and have no complaints.

I love hello Alpha because I have…
I love hello Alpha because I have consistently had providers who take women’s medical concerns, seriously. I have too often been dismissed by in person primary care providers who don’t know very much about women’s health, and are dismissive of my complaints. I actually had my previous primary care Doctor suggest that I take raspberry ketones so I can lose a little bit of weight, because I was about 6 pounds overweight at one of my appointments. Raspberry ketones are snake oil promoted by Dr. Oz, and there is actually no peer-reviewed scientific research that they even helps control weight. Not that I even asked for any weight related issues in the first place when I went in to see him! I am absolutely never going back to that provider again, I have found doctors through Hello Alpha who I can trust to take my concern seriously and not focus on irrelevant issues. I am able to get my basic medical needs yet met, and I’m also now getting medication and skin care formulated to help treat my acne. It’s so convenient, and I didn’t even have to go to a dermatologist. I highly recommend.
