I was very happy to connect with so many people. I do believe this is a space for me to thrive.I do wish that they were a bit more involved in giving us some guidance in our other courses. Other than that I would say it has been a 9/10 experience. they operate very professionally in the live class rooms I had a great time with Rebekah as my live instructor. She was amazing! I've learned a lot about myself and coaching. Very happy I made a choice to obtain more knowledge and expand my horizons with HCI.
I have completed many certification programs. Out of them all HCI is the best. The level of commitment, compassion and empathy that they have for their students plays a tremendous part of student success. HCI is not just an institute, it is a family. Thank you HCI instructors for pouring into me.
The quantity of the content taught by Health Coach Institute. However, when I have needed support, I have often been redirect from one place to another without receiving the help I actually need. At this stage, I am struggling with the practical part of the program. There is a large amount of material to process, but not enough clear guidance on how to apply it. I have asked for help several times, yet I still have not received the support necessary to complete my practice work with conf. Thank you for your response. I want to clarify that the issue was never my payment history. The reason I stopped making payments was because I repeatedly requested academic support and did not receive the assistance that was promised. Instead, I continued receiving automated messages, which did not address my concerns. Before posting my review, I reached out to the person I originally spoke with and explained why I intended to cancel. This review reflects that experience. I successfully completed several parts of the program, including the Nutrition coach certification. However, because I no longer have access to the platform, I cannot access the certificates or the work I completed. If your team is willing to provide the support that was missing, I am still open to discussing a fair solution, including completing the remaining coursework. However, it is inaccurate to suggest that the problem was simply a lack of payment. The lack of support came first, and that is what led me to stop paying. I hope we can resolve this professionally and honestly.
I am utterly disgusted and disappointed. I was moving along through my courses at my own pace. I completed the first half of my health coaching course and was eager to begin the second half of life coaching. I ran into issues of my brother declining in the hospital and dying, along with other life stressors. Despite slowing down with my course work, I continued to pay my monthly tuition. However, when I went to resume my course work, I had no access and could not get adequate support, so I stopped my payments. THEN that's when I would get these rude, aggressive calls from the financial department, tuition department, and anyone related to payments...but ZERO support regarding how I am doing, how courses are going, moral support, or any direct contact with anyone about how to resume my courses. Just emails with no contact number, no direct calls or conversation, no direct support, guidance, or anything. Just rude, condescending, impatient, unprofessional people in the financial departments wanting me to resume payments. Please keep in mind, I kept my automatic payments going and only stopped them AFTER I couldn't access my new courses. Yet, they keep telling me as soom as I resume payments, I will have access to my courses. I have paid 5 payments of $355.00 so far. Money LOST and no way to get refunded and no way to get in touch with anyone to ensure that if I resume payments, I will actually be able to complete my course with certification. This has all the feelings of a shady, scamming, money grab, fake institute. I am so hurt. Wahid W. Shabazz
The course content and instructors are very good. I enrolled in the program in October of 2025 and unfortunately did not meet the requirements for course completion due to unanticipated circumstances at home. When I asked to join another cohort, I was given one option, which was the very next one. When I told them the next cohort would not work, I was told there were no other options. So here I am paying almost $4000 with nothing to show.
I would not recommend this health coaching program. During the sales call, the program was made to sound far more valuable and supportive than it actually was. My fiancé even joined the call because we had concerns before committing, and many promises made were never delivered. Looking back, I honestly feel like I was sold a bunch of lies just to get me enrolled. I spent $5,000 on this program and completely regret it. I even emailed the school expressing my disappointment, but was told there was nothing they could do. I would strongly encourage others to research other programs before enrolling.
There's a lot of information and it's not the easiest to take clear concise notes without using AI, which isn't the best way for me to learn. I wish there was more printable documents that show systems and flow. Other than that aspect, I am loving it and learning so much! I am happy that I chose HCI
FOR THOSE INTERESTED IN THIS PROGRAM: Please note the limited window of time you have to un-enroll from the program; you only have 7 days from the initial payment to cancel. Otherwise, you are on the hook for paying in full...even if you cannot commit for any reason, and even if you have not started classes or received any materials. I find this model to be incredibly shady; it would be a good and ethical idea to tell reps to make that point clear before attempting to collect money. NOTE: Out of all the higher learning institutions I have attended, I have never run into such a policy.
I found the coaching techniques we learned to be solid and valuable. However, much of the program content felt outdated. By the time I completed my certification, the curriculum had undergone a major overhaul, leaving those of us with lifetime access tied to older materials. The sections focused on launching a coaching business lacked depth and practical guidance. That said, Alyssa appeared to address many of these gaps within the Coaching Zones, which helped supplement the core program.
I’ve been thinking about becoming a life coach for a while but kept putting it off. I had recently come in contact with someone that I know and when she mentioned that she was a life coach a light bulb sparked within me. I began searching how to apply. I had connected to a few online courses but was a little apprehensive and didn’t want to get scammed. My sister in-law works with a woman who is a life coach so I asked if she would find out where she had obtained her life coaching certification. She said HCI. I’m so glad that I asked! This is a great experience. I’ve learned so much in just a few months. The program is well structured and professional. I’m excited about just a little overwhelmed because there’s so much to think about. I am interested in finding connecting with a mentor. I am also joining the ICF. Thank you 😊
I love that you got back to me within 24 hours, unlike another school I was with for a different class got back to me within a week and by then I had forgotten my question. Another thing that I really like is that this site is really easy to navigate for those who are not that computer savvy, like myself.
This is a scam. I was pumped up by a clarity coach to sign up. I did on March 1st then on March 15th I needed to cancel and they would not let me even though classes do not start until May 18th. They are using some kind of credit banking system to enroll folks, They will not work with you if you change your mind. Bottom line the clarity coach they assign you should go over the cancelation policy. They will keep reverting to read the fine print when you click the box. They do not send a formal pdf with their terms. I would not choose this company to do business with. If you are looking for meaningful work in the world, go somewhere else.
The person I spoke to regarding the program was excellent -- very knowledgeable, easy to contact, and quite patient with all my questions. My program doesn't start until mid-May. It has made it very confusing to have constant emails and notifications regarding a program that has not even started. I'm constantly thinking that I have failed to do something and then find out it doesn't apply to me. That being said, I don't doubt the content will be valuable.
Inaccurate information before registering and feel unsupported
I talked more than 2 h with somebody to choose between programs, some of the information she shared was not correct. For example she mentioned I have access to course for 6 months but apparently it is only three months. I don't understand why? Based on your orientation session I have to be able to see when my access to course finishes but I cannot see that. There isn't anybody that guide you in this pathway. Lots of sessions are hold after 3pm that I cannot attend. I prefer some sessions be during lunch time.
