Ongoing fraud and zero accountability – Do NOT trust Havana Ship
I have been using Havana Ship as a payment method for my clients in Cuba. I run a small business and have sent 10 remittances through them. Until recently, everything worked — but what happened over the last two days is completely unacceptable and feels fraudulent. On May 19, I sent $50 USD via Zelle for a client remittance. No confirmation, no delivery. On May 20, I sent another $100 USD, and again — nothing. I contacted them via email to ask for an update. Their response? A phone number with the word “WhatsApp”, and nothing more. I do not use WhatsApp, and I called the number several times. No one ever answered. I kept following up via email and insisted on getting support through the same channel I used to pay — still no real response. Finally, they replied saying my payment was being held due to “suspicious activity” and required identity verification — something they never mentioned before taking my money. I told them clearly: I don’t want a refund. I want the remittances delivered, as agreed and paid. To this moment, they have not fulfilled either transaction, have failed to provide any proof of processing, and continue to hide behind vague messages and an unsupported WhatsApp number. This behavior is fraudulent. They are withholding my money, ignoring support requests, and failing to deliver a paid service. I’m reporting both transactions to Zelle and my bank, and I will escalate this if necessary. Avoid Havana Chip at all costs. This is not a trustworthy service.
