Overall very satisfied with the company, however, I couldn’t not continue due to financial reasons on my end.

I love that it was from the comfort of my own home and how informative the doctor was. She broke everything down and made it really easy to understand

It sure changes everything that goes with menopause in reverse. The customer service is amazing. They actually care unlike going to your obgyn and being told to basically deal with it. It should be a crime that they don’t take the time to learn menopause accurately. And care enough about patients that are no longer of baby making age or the younger girls who are peri menopausal they could really use this and save themselves a lot of heart ache and frustration. For themselves and their families!

Fem Excel did a great job of listening to me. He suggested a lab panel and he suggested that he would get me the medicine I would need since I had been in menopause for a couple of years. I felt better after listening to him.

The medical provider works with symptoms rather than assuming the "normal" labs are normal for me. I feel much better now that normal is MY NORMAL .

This is very expensive. The doctor is very nice, however, I do not feel any different after taking the prescribed medicine. I have not lost weight, I do not have more energy, and I am still constantly tired.

I came across the Fem Excel Clinic via Facebook 1 day while Facebooking. I read that the hormones they prescribe are ALL "BioIdentical," (which, is JUST WHAT I was WANTING), a reasonable online telehealth appt with one of their providers. I filled out the online survey before being assigned my provider & appointment date & time. On the day of my scheduled appointment, I spoke directly with a Nurse Practitioner, who IMMEDIATELY prescribed for me 2 different hormones, told me that they would sent out to me and would arrive within 1 week. (AND, they DID). Following those, I received my hormone level test kit (to check my baseline level of hormones) so that I can begin a hormone regimine compounded for just, "MY" levels of hormones. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS clinic/providers, etc.

The initial meeting with my provider went really well. I received the blood test kit and it was easy to use. Then I received the Rx and it was almost $400. So between the monthly membership fee and prescriptions it’s $500 monthly. I CANNOT AFFORD THAT. Completely ridiculous.

Consult was a little pushy and now I can’t get my questions answered after 5 emails.

I was very nervous to try this company. I had been a life long health insurance person. After going through the health care system and being told my menopause symptoms were not valid and I should just eat better and go to the gym more I was frustrated to say the least I felt like I had no say in my own healthcare and I was paying so much for healthcare. I talked to a bunch of other woman in the same boat as me and femexcel kept coming up in our conversation. I got on the website researched it and decided to give it a try, from the get go I was treated with dignity and respect. They responded quickly to all my questions, my provider was friendly and knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable. I didnt feel stupid for asking the questions I wanted answered and anytime I have questions I can ask and they get back to me right away. I am so happy I decided to gonwith them and take charge of my own HRT healthcare.

Surprises!! They only ship 2 month supplies, so even though you can discuss what isn’t working with the NP, if an adjustment is made you have to purchase new 2 months and through away the big remainder of old medication. They also won’t treat with estrogen until FSH is in the 60’s. So then what about perimenopause. AND they charge me $29 for shipping, which they never disclosed before hand. It all feels like a scam that doesn’t support my individual needs.

Excited for the Journey! I just want to feel like myself again. Jana Mervine, APRN. was so professional and informative to what my future could be. She made me feel like there is hope.

I was excited to try FemExcel because I liked the idea of a female-focused hormone health company, and the pricing initially seemed reasonable. I was disappointed to learn it’s owned by a male-first parent company, but that wasn’t my main concern. After completing the intake questionnaire, I met with a provider who immediately recommended roughly $200/month worth of medications—including a thyroid medication and progesterone—before any of my lab results had come back. As someone who is very sensitive to medications and generally avoids taking them unless they’re clearly necessary, this felt like an overly aggressive approach, especially since the prescriptions came through their own compounding pharmacy at premium prices. When I asked which labs they were ordering, I found the testing surprisingly incomplete. It did not include a comprehensive thyroid workup or other basic tests I considered important, so I ordered additional labs myself, including a full thyroid panel, ferritin, and a CBC. Those additional tests showed that I have Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, which requires a much more thoughtful approach than simply prescribing a generic “thyroid medication” before having the diagnosis. I was also able to obtain a three-month supply of standard levothyroxine for about $7 through a regular pharmacy, compared with the much higher-priced compounded medication FemExcel recommended. My progesterone also turned out to be only mildly low, and it’s quite possible it will improve once my thyroid is properly treated. Overall, my experience left me feeling that FemExcel was too quick to prescribe expensive medications before having a complete clinical picture. I was looking for careful, evidence-based hormone care, but instead it felt like the treatment plan came before the diagnosis. I can’t recommend the service based on my experience.
