The girl that helped me complete my application was wonderful. I don't remember her name but I asked her what she majored in to get a job with a surety bond company and she said she majored in history. She walked me through each box of the application. Great job!!

Colonial failed to renew our contractor…
Colonial failed to renew our contractor bond due to their system being down according to an email we received. This prompted automated cancellation without the ability to renew. Our new bond was received and rejected by the state authority lacking basic requirements, Power of Attorney information and corporate seal. We had to facilitate the entire process to maintain compliance. A fiasco and horrible customer service.

Getting a quote online was straightforward and quick. The number quoted was exactly what I paid. Melissa Rodriguez reached out via email to provide assistance, if needed. I started the process on Friday, made our organizations payment for the policy and we are delighted that our 401(k) plan is now fully covered.

I purchased a bond on Friday for a job…
I purchased a bond on Friday for a job pulling permits for and starting on Monday. Then late Monday afternoon Colonial Surety sent an email to me that they are no longer writing that type of bond and are cancelling it effective today. If they had told this to me when I purchased it on Friday I could have purchased it from another company. Now I have to start over tomorrow finding a bond and will not be able to start the job. This will cost us a lot of money.
