Our entire experience was beyond our expectations. Guides were some of the best we have ever experienced. Lodging exceeded our expectations. Included meals were varied very well prepared. Transportation personnel were professional and prompt.

I have been on a few Alexander & Roberts tours and have always enjoyed them. They have a maximum of 16 people on their tours, so it does not seem overcrowded. In addition, they stay at nice hotels that are close to the main sites, and they have quite a few meals included with the tour.

My wife and I have traveled with Alexander+Roberts several times and compared with my experience with other tour companies, they were superior. They took care of everything during our tours so we did not experience any stress or worries during the entire trip. Most of our tour directors/guides were very efficient and knowledgeable making our vacations not only enjoyable but also educational in terms of history, geography and also in the arts (particularly Egypt, Rome and Greece). Most of our tours had eight to eleven fellow travelers making it easy to bond and form friendships with each other.

Alexander and Roberts goes above and beyond with their service, accommodations, excursions and staff. We had no expectations since we had not used A and R for prior travel. Our South Africa and Victoria Falls tour went beyond our wildest imaginations. Everything was outstanding and provided us with an amazing unforgettable experience! When my children couldn't get in touch with us they called A and R who immediately contacted our Safari Lodge and let us know they were worried. We had arrived at Grootbos Reserve after a long day of traveling, went on a 4 X 4 safari adventure before it got dark, had a delicious dinner and fell into bed. We had forgotten to text my children that we had arrived safely. My children were assured by A and R that all was well and notified everyone involved to be certain that we had arrived safely! (They even called our guide at midnight who assured them that she had dropped us off safely). My son said that they were amazing and helpful. The staff in each Safari Lodge was exceptional. They made you feel like family! I can't say enough nice things about Alexander and Roberts! We will definitely use them again in the future!

The logistics were handled well for me: pickup at airport, meet up with city guide, return to airports etc. My friend, who came in later, would not have been picked up if I hadn't asked the driver and guide who initially met me if they were coming back for her. They were confused and said no. They did, of course but only after I told them they needed to. The app is good but needs to be updated sooner. I must say, the guide in Helsinki, Lisa, was outstanding. Our time in Lapland wonderful.

All tour guides and transfers were very punctual, polite and friendly. In fact one even drove from Florence to Pisa when she was tracking our flight and saw that the flight was being diverted. That is about an hour and a half trip so we were extremely happy that she went above and beyond to make sure we would not be left hanging. Also all hotels were very nice, clean and comfortable with great staffs and in excellent locations. We had a 3 hour private boat tour of Lake Como which is one of those things which helped make this vacation one that we will never forget.

We just returned from a Private Journey to South America (The Complete Patagonia). My husband and I usually make our own arrangements, but from the start we really liked having the full service of a privately guided tour. Rather than having to negotiate public transport or an Uber from the airport to center-city, we were met by our Santiago guide as soon as we exited from customs. She had already sent us a photo of herself via WhatsApp, so it was no problem to spot her - plus she had a sign with our names! This level of service was matched at every stop from Torres del Paine National Park to El Calafate. The accommodations were outstanding. True to its name, Le Reve Boutique Hotel in Santiago was a luxury boutique hotel -- elegant and intimate. Patagonia Camp in Torres del Paine was spectacular. We upgraded to a lakefront yurt with Jacuzzi and it was well worth it. We opted for low to moderate excursions, so it was more active walking than hiking. But we still managed to reach amazing viewpoints with breathtaking views of the Horns. Meals were of "fine-dining" caliber. In El Calafate, Los Ponchos was incredibly warm and charming, decorated with regional art and artifacts. We had a terrific view of the lake; the only drawback was being outside of town. We did the 45 minute walk the afternoon we arrived but used local taxis at other times. The included Santiago city tour and excursions in Patagonia were great. Everything started on time and the guides were fantastic. For the private tours, the guides were flexible and able to adjust things to our preference. EG, dropping us off at the Pre-Columbian Museum in Santiago after the tour so we could visit on our own. The guide even gave us her Metro card along with detailed instructions on returning to the hotel! We had researched doing this trip on our own, but the flight and transfer logistics in Patagonia were not as simple as using trains in Europe, so we were happy to find an itinerary that included everything on our Patagonia bucket list. The fact that it was a private tour rather than traveling in a group was a real bonus.

The Private Tour was outstanding in Vietnam & Cambodia! The guides and drivers were EXCELLENT. The experiences were amazing as was the first class treatment. Highly recommend for those interested in a complete experience, i.e, culture, food, people sights.

Our guides were all great. They were knowledgeable, excited, on time. All of our lodging was top notch. We would advise adding a day to Manuel Antonio though. One day, book ended by two long travel days was not enough.
