I was sitting at a 133 on my Biology Praxis exam and after 2-3 months of studying through 240’s program, I raised my score to a 155 ! Amazing !

Passed my FL Teachers Exam Twice!!
For the second time I passed a FL Teachers Exam with the help of 240 Tutoring! This time it was passing all 4 Sections of the Elementary Education K-6 Certification Exam! If I hadn’t studied with 240 Tutoring I am sure that I especially wouldn’t have passed the Math and possibly the English sections. This gave me the confidence and calmness needed, knowing I was more than prepared. I only had a month to study and did not get 90’s on the practice tests, sometimes just a 70 to an 80. I highly recommend 240 tutoring, you will pass your exam!

Passed 2 Tests the First Time
I have used 240 tutoring for the Science of Teaching Reading exam and also for the ESL 154 exam. Those tests have such tricky questions so this program gave me all the practice I needed to gain confidence and close the gaps I had. I completed the free TEA Learn modules for ESL first and that was a great foundation but it didn’t give me enough practice with questions. 240 closed the gaps, deepened my understanding, gave me confidence. I passed both tests on my first try. Definitely use 240 but don’t just click through the lessons - make sure you learn enough to explain to someone else!

The 240 Tutoring program for the TExES…
The 240 Tutoring program for the TExES ESL Supplemental (154) was extremely thorough and definitely challenged me. I can honestly say I got my money’s worth. I completed the entire program—every lesson, quiz, and practice test. The practice exams, especially the scenario-based questions, prepared me well because much of the actual certification exam was presented in that same format. I passed the exam with a 255 (240 required to pass), and I truly believe the time I invested in this program paid off. Thank you for providing such a comprehensive study resource. If you’re willing to put in the work and complete the program, it absolutely prepares you for the exam. All I can say is: It worked!

I used 240 Tutoring to study for the 4 K-6 FTCEs I needed to take and pass by mid-July. I had joined a Facebook group for FTCE support and panicked when I saw all the posts/comments about people not passing their tests. Luckily, I was able to pass each of my tests in the first try. 240 Tutoring really helped me!!

I’ve been teaching first grade for four years… aka I’ve been out of high school for 8 years and out of college for 4. I haven’t taken a math class in 7 years and couldn’t even tell you the last time I wrote a 5 paragraph essay or answered reading comprehension questions. Using 240 Tutoring was the perfect way to get exposure to these types of questions for the first time in AGES! I did watch some of the videos but honestly the quizzes and practice exams are how I passed. I will say the GKT Essay videos are extremely useful because they give you the exact structure you need to use since the essay is basically only graded on structure. Couldn’t recommend this enough for the FTCE GKT!

Suprisingly Enjoyed Spending My Time Practicing!
I enjoyed working through the Praxis II practice. I passed my ETS Praxis II on the first try! Due to the interactive nature of 240 Tutoring, I found myself wanting to spend more time on the program even after my ETS test. Honestly, the price was worth it to me to get a passing score the first time, but if it were cheaper post-passing, I'd have kept my subscription because it was fun and refreshed my memory for the classroom. Here's a breakdown of my studying from the least amount of time spent to the most: - I have always been good at Math and expected a passing score. I still spent a bit of time on the 240 Math practice, which provided a quick refresh. The preparation helped me get an amazing score. - I've had decent success in English, but the Reading practice test was tripping me up, so I used 240 practice to regain some knowledge of terms and processes. I scored just under the average. As of May 2026, the required score for passing Reading was low, so I still passed. I wasn't very knowledgeable on the subject content prior, so without 240 Tutoring, I wouldn't have passed. - Recently, having taught K-5 Science as a special area (new to teaching, and this was the only thing I've ever taught), I began the 240 practice and realized immediately that my experience would only help a bit. The actual test had many secondary-level questions; the 240 practice definitely helped me pass with a score slightly above the minimum required. - I spent the most time practicing the 240 Social Studies portion because I've never felt confident in that subject. Its bite-sized format prevented me from feeling overwhelmed, which has always been a problem for me when attempting to learn SS/History. The program helped me earn an above-average (unexpectedly high) score on the ETS SS portion!

240 is the best way to prepare
All thanks and glory to Jesus for helping me pass the STR 293 exam on my first attempt. However, “Faith without works is dead,” so I also want to thank 240 Tutoring for helping me prepare. The program is thorough, well organized, and easy to use. It covers every topic on the exam, and I found that the practice tests closely mirrored the actual exam. In my experience, 240 Tutoring was all I needed to feel fully prepared. (I tried other materials then realized 240 covers everything.) If you’re willing to put in the time, study consistently, and make the most of the program, I believe you’ll be well prepared to succeed on the STR 293.

One of their TExES course competency diagnostics was defective, which initially prevented my using the course. However, it had been resolved by the time I checked ~1 week later, resulting in my being certified. They are a responsible service!

I used 240 Tutoring to study for TExES Core Subjects EC-6, TExES Science of Teaching Reading, TExES English as a Second Language Supplemental, and the TExES Pedagogical Professional Responsibilities exams. 240 Tutoring does a great job with diagnosing what you are already strong in, and what you need more work in, and they give you a good plan to pass. Here is why 240 Tutoring only gets 4 stars. (1) The subject divisions (or the way they organize the subjects are not divided into the same competencies that are on Pearson's website/manuals. That makes it seem like whatever you studied is not on the actual test. The concepts you learn are on the test, but you will need to apply them in different ways than what you're initially trained to do. (2) The Science of Teaching Reading questions are not realistic. 240 gives shorter questions and shorter answer choices. The actual Science of Teaching Reading Test is a lot wordier. With long questions and long answer choices. I still passed each test on my first try, but I also wanted to point those out.

Worth it!
This service was able to help me pass the TEXES life science certification test! It was full of great information. I do like how it locked you out and made you restart and redo all of the sections once you finish the first time to be able to take the next practice exam. The reason is when you’re done it goes back in and reorganizes all of the sections and it starts with the ones you need the most improvement in. I will definitely use again if I need to take another certification exam.

I graduated from my bachelors in…2024
I graduated with my Bachelor's degree in Education in March 2024. I began using 240 Tutoring in June 2024, and over the past two years, I successfully passed all the required exams to convert my temporary teaching certificate into a permanent teaching certificate. I used 240 Tutoring to prepare for a total of nine FTCE exams, including the Spanish FTCE exam, and I passed every one of them. Although the program required a monthly subscription, it was well worth it because I always had access to the study materials whenever I had time to prepare. The flexibility and comprehensive resources played a significant role in helping me achieve my certification goals.

240 Tutoring covered all subjects of the Elementary Education testlets. The content was relevant and easy to follow. For time constraints, I couldn’t go through all the reading, videos- I tried to go right to the practice tests but they were locked. The study plan based on number of days until test was provided. I failed one subtest for my MTTC and passed after 2 weeks of this!
I failed one subtest for my Michigan teaching certification exam three times. I heard about 240 Tutoring from a friend and I immediately paid the subscription. Best thing I ever have done.
