Reviews Matter
Why Review Recency Matters More Than You Think
Companies change ownership, policies, teams, and products—ratings need a timeline.

A reputation is a moving picture.
Businesses change
A strong historical rating may describe a previous product, management team, or fulfilment partner. Recent reviews show whether the experience has remained consistent.
Older feedback still provides context. The useful question is whether the direction is improving, stable, or declining.
Seasonality can distort the picture
Travel, retail, delivery, and home services often face seasonal peaks. Compare feedback from similar periods and look for evidence that the business learned from earlier pressure.
Build a simple timeline
Read a few recent reviews, a few from six months ago, and a few older examples. Track recurring topics and note when company responses or policies appear to change.
