The film is based on the true story of the 19th-century battle. Battle Of  Sargarhi has a special and proud place in the books of history. Battle Of Sargarhi was an epic fight between 21 soldiers of the 36 Sikh Regiment. Who fought against an army of over 10,000 Afghans and killed more than 600 of them before perishing to enemy bullets.

The battle took place 12th September 1897 in Tirah region of North-West Frontier Province which is now in Pakistan. Saragarhi was a post that connected British India forts of Lockhart and Gulistan on the border areas of Afghanistan.

India is a land of great history. The Battle of Saragarhi is considered to be one of the greatest battles in history.  Akshay has donned a turban and a long beard and the intense gaze of his eyes is setting the tone of the period-drama right.

A simple imagination of the event gives us goosebumps. The awesomeness of the story can be imagined from the very fact that not 1 or 2 but 3 Bollywood stars. Are gearing up to make their individual films on the topic. Yes Ajay Devgn has announced it as a sequel to his film Son Of Sardaar and Akshay Kumar has come up with Kesari. The film was earlier said to be produced by Salman Khan & Karan Johar but later there were reports that Salman may not continue the project and Mukesh Ambani’s daughter will make her debut as a producer with this film instead. The 3rd one is Randeep Hooda who has developed the project to a large extent.

In end all we can say is this movie is close to our hearts as it deals with our culture, our heritage, our history. We are proud of our sikh regiment and all the work and wars they had done for our nation.
